Director of Sales and Partnership Development

Reporting to the Vice President of Strategy and Partnerships you will drive sales growth by leading the development of distribution partnerships with leading organizations in energy data and analytics, retail and competitive energy, energy efficiency, building management, etc. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, fast-growing team and see immediate impacts from your contributions as you help shape our growth strategy and expand key relationships.


  • Develop and close against a partner and opportunity pipeline to build scalable industry relationships
  • Grow partner portfolio through new sales efforts and expand sales volume through existing partners
  • Provide partner sales support for joint pitch and proposal opportunities, acting as the primary internal POC, leveraging additional internal SEMs and resources as needed
  • Collaborate across organization with marketing, customer success, IoT data hardware teams to ensure successful partners POC, pilots, and deployments
  • Provide VOC perspective to inform market position and product roadmap
  • Negotiate often complex sales processes with mid-level and executive decision makers
  • Business travel as necessary for partner visits, industry events, internal meetings, etc.


  • Eligible to work in the United States
  • BS-BA required (MBA preferred)
  • 7-10 years of relevant experience, (preference for candidates with experience selling SAAS and-or IoT solutions to the utilities-energy industries)
  • Highly passionate self-starter with proven track record of growing a portfolio of distribution partnerships
  • Strong consultative selling ability who actively listens and probes for customer problems and provides proactive follow-up
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, with ability to effectively and strategically interact with senior leaders both internally and externally
  • Ability to think on your feet, but also know when to say “I’ll get back to you”
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM solutions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year

Supplemental Pay:

  • Bonus pay
  • Commission pay
